Nasson joined the Marine Corps and served in the line of duty in South Korea to prove his worth as an Albanian American, and is passing the torch to the next generation.
Ronald Nasson, a schoolboy during World War II, vividly remembers seeing the American soldiers come home after the war ended. “They were our heroes, and I immediately gravitated toward the honorable duty of serving America,” Nasson says. “Joining the Marine Corps and serving in the line of duty in South Korea during the Korean War was one of my ambitions, and I fulfilled it.” It was an amazing experience, he says, to serve America and to prove his worth as an Albanian American.
