Born and raised in Shkodër, Albania, Neritan Mani studied and earned his medical degree in Tirana. He thought he’d spend his entire life in the country in which he was born, but when opportunity came knocking in the United States, he made a big move. “I always thought that becoming a surgeon and practicing in Tirana University was my fulfilled lifetime dream, but I guess I was wrong,” says Dr. Mani.
