Jessica Lulgjuraj is the child of two perfectly intertwined cultures. Her father is from Tuz, Montenegro, and her mother is American. She grew up in Florida, where few peers knew where Albania was. Spending summers in Detroit, Michigan, with the Albanian community, and her aunt, uncle, and numerous cousins, Lulgjuraj got a good understanding of what being Albanian meant. The close-knit families and community made her realize how deeply seated hospitality, generosity, honest work, and loyalty are in Albanian culture. As a young girl, she made the conscious decision to embrace and incorporate these ideals into all areas of her life.
