approached the surface of the moon. Our family den was connected by two adjacent doors to
my father’s home medical office. My dad had office hours, but between seeing patients, he stepped out of his office to make sure that I watched this historic event. I needed no encouragement.
I watched wide-eyed as Neil Armstrong stepped foot on the lunar surface and uttered his famous statement: ‘That’s one small step for [a] man, one giant leap for mankind.’ That event would
