Rrustem Gecaj

He came from humble beginnings, but hard work led Gecaj to become one of the biggest investors in postwar Kosova and owner of one of the largest wineries in the Balkans.

Rrustem Gecaj, a well-known Albanian American businessman and activist, traces his family
origins from the magical highlands of Gjakova. His ancestors were industrious land and cattle owners, and Gecaj says he inherited their energetic attitude towards labor, using it to achieve his own
prosperous and enviable standing in life.
