Vedat Gashi is more than an attorney working in New York City—he’s a key legal figure in Kosova’s Declaration of Independence.
Born in Baran i Eperm, Kosova, Gashi and his family immigrated to United States in 1983. He quickly completed his studies at Connecticut College—where he later served on the Board of Trustees as a young alumni trustee—and earned a law degree from Seton Hall Law School, where he was a research assistant to Professor Paula Franzese and Judge Sonia Sotomayor in the Second Circuit Court of Appeals.
